Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is appointed to act on behalf of the founder-Mrs Kevin Kalule to run the day to day affairs of the Cambridge Secondary School. It comprises of two parents, Old students of the school(Alumni) , her children and also Mr.Mujjumba John Bosco. While the students propose measures to see their institution move forward, the day to day running of the school is done by other team members due to the technicalities involved.
Mr.Mujjumba John Bosco, has steered the development of the school. He is also the Chairman Pivate Schools in Uganda and therefore his insight on school administration can’t go unnoticed. Being, a good friend of the family especially the late-Mr Kalule Charles, Mujjumba has seen Cambridge grow from a mere grass thatched block to a better managed school with functional administrative units.
The board are directly accountable to the shareholders and each year the company does hold an annual general meeting (AGM) at which the directors must provide a report to the founding body on the performance of the school, what its future plans and strategies are and also submit themselves for re-election to the board.
The board of directors' key purpose is to ensure the school's prosperity by collectively directing its affairs, whilst meeting the appropriate interests, dreams of both the students and other stakeholders. In addition to business related issues, boards of directors at the school also deal with challenges and issues relating corporate social responsibility and corporate ethics.
Board meetings are held thrice a year to ensure that the measures in place help move the institution forward. In case some measures are inappropriate, better strategies are adopted for effectiveness.
